Weddings & functions on the Vaal Dam
The sunset does most of the work. Three spaces for up to 80 guests, all of them facing the water.
Milestone birthdays, family reunions, wedding ceremonies and corporate escapes — the estate handles all of them, and the view is the same regardless of the occasion.
Menus are tailored per event rather than picked off a list, and because the guesthouse is on site, your guests can simply go to bed afterwards instead of driving home. Tell us the date and the headcount and we will come back with options.

Capacities are per space, not cumulative — 80 guests is the ceiling for a single function.

The Terrace
Open to the sky, right on the water's edge.
The Terrace is where the Vaal earns its reputation — a paved deck on the water's edge, umbrellas up, with nothing between your guests and the dam. A stretch tent goes over it for larger functions, or out on the lawn beside it. It seats up to 80 and has hosted wedding ceremonies as well as long, slow sundowners.

The Downstairs Venue
Festoon lights, the dam through the windows, and room for eighty.
Our biggest space, seating up to 80 under festoon lights with the water on one side. Fully flexible — long tables, rounds, or cleared for dancing, with the fire pit going outside. The room your evening moves into once the sun goes down.

Main House Dining Room
The intimate one — a single long table under a pitched ceiling.
The open-plan lounge and dining room in the main house seats about 25 at one long table, under a high pitched ceiling with the fireplace at one end and the garden through the windows. The right room for a private dinner or a family celebration that wants to stay together.
